2 Cor. 2:20 For all the promises of God in him are yea, and in him A'- men, unto the glory of God by us. The numerous unconditional promises of God are a reflection of both OT and NT promises.In the following scriptures the ancient promises are ingrained in the new promises. There are approximately 8,810 promises of God in both the OT and the NT combined. Within the OT there are 7,706 and NT 1,104 amazing and wonderful promises from God. Isn't this outstanding. OLD TESTAMENT PROMISES OF GOD: A. God's promise to Abraham an heir (Rom. 4:19-20) B. The heir, "Isaac", is the seed of promise from God (Rom. 9:7-9) C. Jesus Christ in (Rom. 15:8) is raised up to expound the truth of the circumcision of ancient history in (Gen.17:12-14, Lev. 12:3); as a rite of passage into the lineage and citizenship of Gods earthly kingdom and in heaven in Davids seed. (Acts 13:23-32-33) for the promise of eternal life. D. Jesus Christ was made as a confirmation of these promises in both the OT and NT according to (Gal.3:16-22) alike. His life could and would not nullify any OT promise but gave more credence to it, through Jesus Christ life, death, bural, and resurrection being of faith; and given to Abraham by promise (Gal. 3:22). But the scripture hath concluded all under sin, that the promise by faith of Jesus Christ might be given to them that believe. NEW TESTAMENT PROMISES OF GOD: The promise of eternal life in Christ Jesus (2 Tim. 1:1) and the promise of the eternal inheritance (Heb. 9:15); (1John 2:25) And this is the promise that he hath promised us, even eternal life. Here are a few of the most important New Testament Promises: The most important promises are given to us by Jesus Christ concerning the gift of the Holy Spirit; which he spoke to his disciples in (John 16:13-15). These set of promises appear after Jesus was hung on the cross for the sins of the world, buried, and resurrected according to (Luke 24:49); (Acts 2:33, 38-39). There are numerous promises mentioned in the Word of God which relate to what is good, desirable, and that which blesses and makes our lives richer each day. These awesome promises are afforded to every believing recipient according to their faith in Christ Jesus. Every one of these awesome and amazing promises are intended to be given for the entire human race from one generation to another. And they are unconditional even though they are numerous and exceedingly great according to (2 Peter 1:4) Whereby are given to us exceeding great and precious promises: that by these ye might be partakers of the divine nature, having escaped the corruption that is in the world through lust. These promises have been declared throughout both the OT and NT and are detailed affirmations for every person that are entitled to them. Praise God. Here is a brief outline of some of these precious promises from God as follows: MORE NEW TESTAMENT PROMISES ARE: 1. A new covenant ushering in a new eternal inheritance (Heb. 9:15) 2. New Heavens and new earth (2 Peter 3:13) 3. The resurrection (Acts 26:6) 4. The blessings of numerous descendants (Heb. 6:14) 5. The emergence of an unshakable kingdom (Heb. 12:28) 6. Gentiles receiving the same unconditional promises (Eph. 2:11-13). GOD'S DIVINE MISSION OF RESCUE FOR THE SALVATION OF HIS PEOPLE ARE: 7. Forgiveness of all sins in the flesh and spirit (2 Cor. 7:1) 8. Peace with God through Jesus Christ (Rom. 5:1) Therefore being justified by faith, we have peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ: 9. Eternal life is through obedience in Christ Jesus because of the 10 Commandments mentioned by Jesus as he spoke to a man seeking eternal life (Matt. 19:16-19). 10. Eternal life is of Jesus Christ (Rom. 6:23) For the wages of sin is death; but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord. 11. God does everything for our good (Rom.8:28) 12. God is our refuge in the time of trouble (Ps. 46:1) 13. God gives us peace for our troubled minds (Is. 26:3-4) 14. God will support you with his right hand (Isa. 41:10) 15. God desires to prosper you according to his word (Jer. 29:11) 16. God promised salvation through Jesus Christ (Rom. 10:9) 17. God promised to give wisdom to all who ask in faith (James 1:5) 18. Give us the joy of his presence (Psalm 16:11) 19. God promised to give us deliverance from enemies (Psalm 34:17) 20. Give us guidance and direction (Psalm 3:5-6) 21. He will never allow his love to fail us (Isa. 54:10) 22. The blessed Holy Spirit to help us (Luke 24:49) 23. He promised to supply our every need (Phil. 4:19) 24. God promises to hide us in his secret place from all evil (Ps. 91) 25. He promises us a crown of life (James 1:12) 26. Healing, abundant peace and security (Jer. 33:6) 27. He promised to give us strength and peace (Psa. 29:11) 28. God promises of the Fruit of the Holy Spirit (Gal. 5:22) 29. God promises to give strength to our weak hearts (Psa. 27:14) 30.
